PAOB Member Induction | Welcome Dr. Juan Montero, II

The PAOB welcomes new member Dr. Juan Montero, II. Dr. Montero, a native of the Philippines, is a retired general and non-cardiac thoracic surgeon - specialties he practiced for 35 years in the Hampton Roads area.

He has been active within the Hampton Roads area of Virginia for decades. The service to his community can be seen through the organizations he has founded which include the Chesapeake Care Free Clinic which provides free health care services to individuals and families. He is also the Founder/President of Montero Medical Missions which coordinates medical missions and creates sustainable healthcare projects both locally and abroad.

Dr. Montero has been the recipient of the Philippines Presidential Humanitarian [Linkapil] Award, American College of Surgeons Inaugural Surgical Volunteerism Award, and the Humanism in Medicine Award by Association of American Medical Colleges.
